Are You Boasting in the Flesh or the Cross?

Galatians has been called by many the Magna Carta of Christianity. This pointed letter from the Apostle Paul calls the church to deep and abiding faith in the liberating gospel of grace. The glorious liberation of grace does not lead to a reckless license in life but joyful liberty from self-reliance, self-effort and self-autonomy. As Tim Keller notes, “Paul shows the young believers in Galatia that their spiritual problem is not only caused by failing to live in obedience to God, but also by relying on obedience to him.” In Christ, we are set free to live out the implications of the gospel by faith alone.
