We Have Seen Him: Deepest Longings Fulfilled

The Christian hope is not rooted in human fabrication, ideas, or conjecture. The arrival of Jesus, the Son of God, is a physical and historical reality. As John asserts, Jesus was heard, seen, and touched. Many saw him and testified to his wonder and way: shepherds, angels, Simeon, Anna, Herod, Magi, Mary, Joseph, and many others. Our hope as followers of Jesus is bound to the real and sure person and work of Jesus. During this season, we celebrate Jesus, existing before time, appearing in time in the flesh, and returning in the flesh. His first advent is a sure reality, and we anticipate his second advent with equal assurance.
